Wanda Ali, RN, BS, MBA,FAACM,PCMH, CCE
Wanda Ali is a Registered Nurse with 38 years of healthcare experience. She is the owner and founder of WAM’S Healthcare Consultants, LLC, a business she established in 2010 to meet the needs of families struggling to navigate the complex healthcare system. In addition, to managing her business, Wanda works full time at Medical Mutual of Ohio where she serves as a Sr. Clinical and Compliance Accreditation Specialist. In this role, Wanda oversees the Health Plan Accreditation application process, training and compliance for the organization.
Wanda has a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management and a Master’s Degree in Business Management. Wanda is a certified Case Manager and a Fellow in The American Academy of Case Management where she serves as a course writer and instructor. Wanda is certified as a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Content Expert by the National Committee of Quality Assurance (NCQA) and she has supported several practices to achieve PCMH recognition. Wanda also, has served as a NCQA PCMH Reviewer, a course writer and presenter at NCQA’s national conference.
Wanda previously, worked as a Senior Consultant, for Better Health Partnership, a Regional Healthcare Improvement Collaborative in Northeast Ohio. In this role she was involved in several grant funded initiatives such as hypertension improvement in African Americans, childhood obesity and asthma and she recently completed the preliminary work for the establishment of a Pathway Community HUB model of care in Cuyahoga County, which is a model of care that use Community Health Workers (CHW) to address Infant Mortality. Wanda’s experience in the CHW’s space is that of a researcher, curriculum and course development and as a faculty for the Community Health Worker program at Cuyahoga Community College.
Wanda resides in Cleveland, Ohio and in her spare time she enjoys vegan cooking, dancing and spending time with her family and friends.
