Veronica Chepak, RN, BSN, MPA
Veronica Chepak, MPA, BSN, RN, has been a nurse for over 25 years. She currently works as a Clinical Coordinator for the Care Transitions Team at Montefiore Care Management, and has been at the company since 2005. She started as the oncology case manager on the Complex team and then went on to be the Accountable Care Manager on their Integrated Medical-Behavioral Case Management Team.
Veronica Chepak holds a Bachelor of Science degree (BSN) which she received in 1989 at Mount Saint Mary College. She also holds a Master’s in Public Administration with a healthcare focus which she received from Pace University in 2014. She started her nursing career at Westchester Medical Center as a staff nurse on the Research Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. She has over 15 years of Utilization Management and Case Management experience in Commercial, Self-Insured, Medicare and Medicaid Environment. Additionally, she was an integral part of the assessment development team for Oxford Health Plans. Her prior hospital nursing experience includes oncology, complex cases, and a Medicaid Clinic with an emphasis on prenatal care.
An active board member of the Hudson Valley Chapter of CMSA since 2005, she is a Past President of the Chapter and Education Chair. She has also served as Vice-President. She served as a Director on the National Board of the Case Management Society of America from 2014-2016. She has also served on National CMSA’s By-Laws, Educations and Nominations Committee. During her tenure on the Hudson Valley Chapter, she was the lead on organizing the Chapter’s first Conference.
