LDR – How Sharp is Your Ax?

Non-profit leadership is responsible to make decisions to achieve or further the mission of the non-profit organization. Governance is an essential understanding in the role of boards of directors in non-profit organizations The focus is on strategic or entrepreneurial orientation in preparation for NPO leadership as opposed to active, patient-centered care, or orientation of the clinician. While competent and experienced in their profession, these individuals are challenged with preparation for the new role and paradigm shift to NPO leadership and governance.

Objectives:

  1. Attendees will be able to identify the role of the Board of Directors in an NPO.
  2. Attendees will be able to identify leadership traits and skill sets essential to facilitate a successful transition to NPO leadership.
  3. Attendees will be able to identify the relationship of strategic planning to the future of NPO sustainability.
