Linda Brittingham, ACM-SW, CCM, CCMHC, BCD, LCSW
Linda Brittingham is the Corporate Director, Social Work for Christiana Care Health System. She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from University of Delaware and a Masters in Social Work from Delaware State University. She is a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Board Certified Diplomat in Clinical Social Work (BCD), Accredited Case Manager (ACM), Certified Case Manager (CCM), Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC), and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She is active in several professional organizations including NASW Delaware Chapter- Ethics Committee Chair, ACMA Maryland Chapter- Education Committee and Member at Large, Society for Social Work Leadership in Healthcare, National Board for Certified Counselors, and is a professional member on the Delaware Board of Clinical Social Work Examiners.
Linda began he career in drug and alcohol services prior to her work in medical social work. During her career, she has provided medical social work services to a wide variety of populations and medical service lines. Her interest in trauma informed care and Social Determinants of Health stems from her care coordination work with complex environmental, medical, and social needs. Successful care plans include identifying and addressing the effects of all types of trauma and Social Determinants of Health to form an understanding of their impact and the coping mechanisms and behaviors which are created as a result. Promoting resilience and healing is critical to building relationship and self-management skills which are the basis of stability and improving overall wellness.
