Lauren Sherman, LCSW, CCM, NMG
Lauren Sherman is the President of Lifecare Innovations, Inc., a private agency designed to serve the needs of the aging and/or disabled individuals. Lauren is responsible for program development and assuring quality and standards of care across all clinical lines of Lifecare Innovations and its subsidiaries, Lifecare Guardianship and Lifecare Home Solutions. In addition to the many other value-added roles, positions, and experiences that Lauren has fulfilled with Lifecare Innovations, Inc., she has gathered an extensive level of courtroom experience related to her management of guardianship clients. Lauren is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Illinois and Colorado, and is one of three people in Illinois who holds the National Master Guardian distinction from the Center for Guardianship Certification. She previously served on the education committee for the National Guardianship Association and helped to create education programs for individuals throughout the country that worked in the guardianship field or served as guardian for a loved one. Lauren has published numerous articles related to her research with children and adults as well as her current field of guardianship. She has spoken frequently on guardianship and other clinical matters for hospitals, nursing homes, and other care settings on a local and national level. Prior to joining Lifecare Innovations, Lauren worked in numerous settings, including a university research program, a long-term care facility, an acute care hospital, a counseling program, and a psychiatric care program. She received a Bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master’s of Social Work from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
