Karen Hooven, RN, BSN, CRRN, CCM
Karen Hooven is a highly regarded Registered Nurse Case Manager at Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital located in Medina, Ohio. Karen is a graduate of Ursuline College where she obtained her BSN.
After receiving her nursing degree, Karen was employed at Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio where she worked for 31 years until her retirement in 2010; she joined Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital shortly thereafter. Karen has over 35 years of nursing experience along with over 25 years of hospital based case management experience and specialty practice in rehabilitation for stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury. Karen is the previous president of the local chapter of ARN and the current Co-Founder and Co-President of the Cleveland Chapter of CMSA . She is also a current member of AASCIN, ARN, and is active in hospital based Stroke Steering Committee and the We Heard You Committee. Karen participates in the Cleveland Clinic Affinty Group and is currently working on the Care Coordination Competency Project and is also a Co-Team Lead for the Cleveland Clinic Care Management Kaizen Project and is actively working on the EPIC Documentation Redesign initiative.
Karen resides in Medina, Ohio and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, golfing, and gardening.
