Julie Ghurtskaia, BSN, MPH, RN,CCM
Julie A Ghurtskaia is Vice President of Population Health for Carolina Complete Health. She is a dedicated healthcare professional with a 23+ year record of healthcare management experience in clinical and non-clinical environments.
Julie has a background which includes extensive work in both population health and managed care environments with both local and corporate led entities. She has developed and led successful integrated care management and utilization management approaches at both Humana and Centene which has led to improved member outcomes as well as financial efficiencies.
Julie has worked collaboratively on population health initiatives with Public Health England leads in carrying out NHS health targets in the UK as part of their re-organization and strategic population health plan. She is an expert in knowledge for NCQA Population Health, Complex Care, and LTSS populations for Accreditation, Distinction, and HEDIS metrics. She has led the successful policy development and approval at a corporate level for NCQA compliance. Julie further has helped to oversee the development of the Centene Corporate Person Centered Thinking program led by Susan Fegen which implements the Corporate-wide Person Centered approach which is developed and copyrighted by The Learning Community and Michael Smull.
Julie is a Registered Nurse who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from William Carey University, as well as, a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is a Certified Case Manager from The Commission for Care Manager Certification. Julie is an active member of Case Manager Society of America.
