Jennifer Featherston, PhD, LPC, CRC, CVE, EAGALA
Dr. Featherston is the Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for Pate Rehabilitation. She joined Pate in 2009 after working as the director of a non-profit organization serving individuals with disabilities in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She obtained her doctorate degree in Rehabilitation Education and Research from University of Arkansas and is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and Certified Vocational Evaluation Specialist. Dr. Featherston is also certified through the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) to practice equine assisted psychotherapy. Additionally, she provides supervision and training in brain injury rehabilitation for graduate students in the Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling department at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. She has over 15 years’ experience in rehabilitation psychology and disability research, with specialization in vocational assessment, job placement, and psychosocial issues related to adjustment to disability following brain injury. She is a member of the Society of Counseling Psychology and the Rehabilitation Psychology divisions of the American Psychological Association and is a member of the National Rehabilitation Association.
