Barbara DeGray, RN-BC, CRRN
Barbara DeGray, RN-BC, CRRN (Vice President, Case Management) is a registered nurse who has over 30 years of experience in the areas of clinical care, workers’ compensation, case management, and utilization review. Her current role with Managed Care Advisors (MCA) is as Vice President of Case Management for Manager Care Advisors’ contract with the Department of Homeland Security nurse case management program and other federal agencies. In this role, Ms. DeGray is responsible for supervising a team of nurse case managers in managing workers’ compensation cases of injured/ill workers. She also ensures FECA guidelines are adhered to and supervises caseloads of the regional nurse case managers.
Prior to joining MCA, Ms. DeGray was Medical Care Manager for CareSys of Wilton, CT where she was responsible for independent management of assigned caseload and client relations for the Burlington North Santa Fe Railways workers’ compensation program. She has also held various positions with other organizations including supervisor of a utilization review department, director of quality management, and director of medical management. Each of these roles has given Ms. DeGray a foundation in clinical care, workers’ compensation, and case management.
Ms. DeGray holds an undergraduate degree in Nursing, BSN, from Georgetown University and a Masters of Business Administration degree, MBA, in Health Administration from the University of Miami. In addition she is a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN), Board Certified Case Manager and holds a Certificate in Health Care Administration and a Certificate in Quality Assurance and Utilization Review.
