Healthcare is an ever-changing field; every day there are new regulations, new guidelines to follow and an increasing number of ways to communicate with patients. Through all of these changes, telehealth has become a standout option for case managers with implementations in the home health and disease management settings. Current studies suggest that telehealth can assist case managers by being able to better coordinate and facilitate care. In this discussion, we will look at how telehealth can supplement case managers’ ability to offer individualized and holistic care to injured workers while providing care coordination.
